The illusive intellect is controlling. It tries to control in a way that imposes ownership. It works under the influence of energies that are pretensious — ego under the guise of respect, anger under the guise of justice, fear under the guise of courage, and war under the guise of freedom. It believes that everything in the world exists for human consumption and so human beings can claim proprietorship.
The illuminating intellect is focused in the remembrance of the Source and sees the self as a trustee. The illuminating intellect practices soul consciousness which results in the awareness that nothing in the world — not even the body–belongs to anyone. As a consequence, one can only consider the self as a trustee. The illuminating intellect guides the awareness that everything encountered in life should be treated with respect, and at the same time with detachment.
