The illusive intellect and the illuminated intellect – Round 8

The illusive intellect is “I, me, my, mine.” It is egocentric and self-centered, and lives in a small world of self-gratification and self-indulgence. It tends not to care for the needs and feelings of other people, and is concerned solely with one’s own desires, interests, and hopes. No matter how much one has, its selfish desires drive it to hanker for more and more, thus succumbing to the pride of being an exclusive enjoyer.

The illuminating intellect understands the law of balance. It has mastered the art of moving from the narrow limits of self-gratification to the broader landscape of self-contentment. It operates from the principle that to sustain the fulfillment of one’s own needs lies in fulfilling the needs of others, and that the urge to take must be balanced by the wish to give.

The illusive intellect and the illuminating intellect – Round 7

The illusive intellect is manipulative. It moves and controls in a skillful way for a particular purpose. It clings to past memories, people, and possessions. In so doing, it can hurt others, harm relationships, and cause violence.

The illuminating intellect is trusting. It sees the drama of life as a sequence of many scenes. Each scene is revealing a secret, and unfolding a significance. The illuminating intellect knows when to be a detached observer, and when to act. It is guided by pure intentions and clean motives. It is non-violent by nature.

The Wonder of Dadi Janki

Dadi Janki epitomizes idealism, courage, endurance, and sacrifice. She gives her all, renounces all comforts, responds to God’s call at every moment, and remembers Him with her every breath. She pushes the boundaries of possibilities, demanding victory at all levels — body, mind, heart, and soul! She nurtures a global spiritual family through succeeding generations with her dedication of purpose, nobility of character, and capacity for compassion. She serves to strengthen the resilience of individual souls, and encourages their collective contribution to fulfill Baba’s vision of a golden-aged world. Her watchwords are: bhavna from a generous heart, truth from the realizations of personal experiences, and transformation of nature through honesty and unshakeable faith.

Her face is beatific. She is someone who reflects the virtues of God by giving value to and uplifting others through her drishti.

She is the Dadi of people from all corners of the world, who take her to their hearts with trust and fondness. She, in turn, embraces the different personalities and shapes them in her heart into a unified whole. She always sees us as more than the sum of our contradictions. She gives hope, consolation, and strength to carry on. She holds us together by the strong and invisible threads of her bhavna.

Dadi Janki occupies a place that is hers alone; she is a person who is most loved and has attracted such adulation. She is the number one loved soul in the world! She is the best kept wonder of the world!

Dadi Janki is like a myth and at the same time a living Shakti. In her simple sari, she is like a rainbow rising up to brilliant white. Her words shine through the clean vessel of her intellect like a pot of gold. She is very real, present, and pervasive.

Dadi Janki has made a “tryst with destiny” to be immortal, eternal, and imperishable.

The Illusive intellect and the illuminating intellect – Round 6

The illusive intellect is biased and prejudiced. It looks through eyes that categorize people and put them in boxes of caste, color, and creed. The inner fears condition the way the eyes see. The illusive intellect is therefore deceived by the sense of sight.

The illuminating intellect is the inner eye of enlightenment. It can see the invisible, while looking at the visible. It is so astute that it connects to the being while looking at the human body. The illuminating intellect is never deceived by the sense of sight. It is never trapped in anyone’s name and form. It sees with love, it sees the whole landscape, and it connects the dots.
